This ongoing project has been a truly collaborative initiative, commissioned by The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon and led by Native Events, the programme was developed with additional input from Green Arts Initiative Ireland, Julie’s Bicycle and Julie’s Bicycle Europe – ensuring a comprehensive approach to resources, supports and guides. The programme consists of a series of in-person and online training sessions with various arts organisations and representatives from cultural bodies across Ireland, focusing on how arts and cultural sectors can respond effectively to the climate crisis. These sessions, hosted for all Arts Council-funded organisations, kicked off with an introductory workshop. Following that, we delved into practical climate action policy and plan development webinars. As the programme progresses, it will cover key topics such as impact measurement and nature and biodiversity through focused sessions.
