Julie’s Bicycle Europe is a partnership between Native Events and Julie’s Bicycle developed from a rich history of shared values and successful creative climate action.

Based in Ireland, Julie’s Bicycle Europe mobilises creative climate action across Europe with arts, creative and cultural organisations and networks. Our approach is rooted in a deep commitment to reciprocal partnerships that will make a significant difference; to that end we offer practical and leadership programmes that enable the cultural sector to contribute to the solutions we so urgently need.  We are committed to working at all levels, understanding that cultural practice can model good policy-making and we advocate for local and national policy to enable the cultural sector to take action and speak up at scale and speed.

About Us

Native Events is Ireland's leading sustainable events solutions company, uniquely positioned to facilitate sector-wide change towards regenerative, sustainable and just creative practices. From consultancy and reporting, to planning and production, Native takes a systems approach to wicked problems - the social, environmental and cultural challenges of our time.

Julie's Bicycle is a pioneering UK based not-for-profit mobilising the arts and culture to take action on the climate, nature and justice crisis. Combining cultural and environmental expertise, Julie’s Bicycle has partnered with over 2000 organisations in the UK and internationally, focusing on high-impact programmes and policy change to meet the climate crisis head-on.

Creative Green Tools

The Creative Climate Tools (CC Tools) is a free carbon calculator designed to enable artists and cultural organisations to track their environmental impact and make strategic changes. Julie’s Bicycle provides these to the culture sector free of charge. The Tools also include the Beyond Carbon checklist to help you track environmental action beyond emissions.

By reporting your carbon footprint and reviewing your impact Beyond Carbon, you join a growing creative climate movement taking action on the crisis, and play a vital role in shaping a sustainable future for the arts.
